Foxtrot Inc. — VR training and rehearsal built from real terrain
Foxtrot Inc. is a deep-tech company based in Yokohama, Japan. We build solutions that augment human capability, using 3D reconstruction, VR/AR, drones and computer vision. At FF26 we present four training and rehearsal applications, all running on VR headsets.
Training environments are usually built, not captured. Building a generic one is not cheap, and once it is built, it is still not the place your people will actually work in.
SimFlight Terrain takes a different route. A real site is captured with a drone or a handheld camera and reconstructed as a photographic 3D scene rather than a modelled one. Teams enter that scene in a VR headset and rehearse procedures in the actual terrain — planning a UGV route in and out, rehearsing an approach before anyone arrives, walking a site together weeks before deployment.
SimFlight XR covers training for every kind of drone, with a focus on FPV flying and interceptor piloting. It supports Mode 1 and Mode 2 stick layouts, velocity mode and the acro mode used in FPV flying, along with wind conditions and configurable obstacles.
Several people can observe the same situation together and train how to evade or engage an attacking drone.
Tombi Guide is a VR training application aligned with IMAS, the international standard for humanitarian mine action. It covers three scenarios, with narration in English and Ukrainian.
European operators and partners for joint field trials, and organisations who want their own site turned into a training environment.
